Betty Marshall of Fort Johnson, NY provided the decendants of Isaac Shelmadine. There are many Shalmadines listed in the Albany/Schenectady area phone books. The spelling changes but they seem to be all related.

Isaac was a small square man, very neat, used good language. Educated better than many of his generation. Great reader. Lived on the Westkill. Buriied in the old School Baptist Cemetery but the grave is without a stone. Born about 1812 died 1887.
